When you have a city as charming as Seabrook, yet primed for business growth, you need a plan to guide the redevelopment process. What’s the look and feel you want to create? What type of businesses do you want to attract? That’s just what the Seabrook EDC ordered in 2005 when it commissioned the Seabrook Waterfront Development Plan, which outlines these desires. The goal -- to attract quality businesses and investors to the heart of the city and improve utilities, while upholding Seabrook’s reputation for Southern coastal living.
The plan identified five distinct areas within the city, all accessible via water and each with its own unique qualities related to existing and potential land uses.
Redevelopment of each of these districts will take place gradually over several years. To guide this process, the plan outlined a set of principles for the City to follow to ensure redevelopment meets certain standards. These include:
